Represent Rebecca Slaughter, Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, in litigation from District Court to the United States Supreme Court, asserting that statutory removal protections for Commissioners do not violate the constitutional separation of powers.

Represent Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey and lead prosecutor of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Sean Combs (a/k/a P. Diddy), in lawsuit against the Department of Justice for wrongful termination in violation of the constitutional separation of powers. One of the first cases to challenge the President’s use of Article II to override civil service laws protecting federal employees.

Together with the New York Civil Liberties Union, brought a challenge to New York State’s ban on jury service for otherwise-eligible New Yorkers who have previously been convicted of a felony. As applied in New York County, the ban is racially discriminatory to an extraordinary degree, disqualifying one out of every four otherwise eligible Black adults and more than 40 percent of Black men.

Represented Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the United States, as amicus curiae, before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, in a case challenging New York State’s firearms licensing law.
